It's that kind of year (so far)

Your omniscient author in absentia:
Hate to follow-up an "under .500 no strip Friday" with an "OMG work is killing me no strip Monday" but c'est la vie.

Seems we all are having some issues with the basic fundamentals these days.

This puts the butler further into his funk. But, the sun is out and my morning spot looks good. Emi is snuggling up to the butler, for what purpose I've no clue, but hey! The sunny spot is available for me.

The Sox couldn't capitalize right now if their Caps Lock was stuck ON. Damn, what was it, the 7th inning yesterday? 2nd and 3rd with nobody out? WTF?

Their inability to score when the opportunity is right there in front of them is serving as a painful reminder of my high school dating career.

The games are fun to listen to, so there's that.

2 out of 3 and good starting pitching all 3 games, led by Lestah's gem. I'll take it.

I'm with Bob. Of all the words of tongue or pen, the saddest are, 2nd and 3rd nobody out, no runs.

Of all the words of tongue or pen, the saddest are

emi and butler

louclinton: words that are not so much sad, as cause for celebration that I ain't him.

lou needs love from Emi, who is so much nicer than her father. He's jealous. HA! NEITHER of them are. lou, you and the Chairman are two of a kind.

Here's my consolation: the work day actually went incredibly well, and because I put the time in early, I'm leaving early.

These are all excellent points. Thanks for playing.
