It's Friday, don't be down in the Demps
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
A 36-year old pitcher from the National League who's limited experience against American League hitter is sobering...
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
What could go wrong?
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
Oh, relax, Ted, I'm just kidding.
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
Dempster is good, not great, but at 2 years for a proven innings eater it's a prudent acquisition.
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
You know, like spending money for emergency hurricane relief 6 years after the hurricane.
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
You have to think ahead. That's what I'm talking about.
I work with a Cubs fan who called him 'Dumpster' while he pitched there. Not a good sign. Lackey, part deux. Sigh.

If Dempster's stats against the AL is sobering, doesn't that mean he'll be effective against Hamilton?
Bum bum bum.

ARE sobering. I got up late today, and am still trying to catch up mentally.

Guys, don't know about you but I am STOKED! This offseason has just been so exciting! Cherington is clearly a genius with a plan and our acquisitions turn us into immediate contenders!
Or the opposite of what I just said, I don't know...

So, it's Lester, Buchholtz, Dempster, Doubrount, and Lackey, right? Woo boy that's a whole lot of hit or miss there. Better if it were swing and miss, but whatever. No Valentine. It has to be better.

The likely staff for next season won't scare anyone, except us.
Oh, well perhaps they'll be like the Pats secondary.

So I think it's time to rev up the bus again...this time we're aiming at the entire FO. I need a new GM - kinda like the great Huey Lewis song of the same title.

I think if we're going to have another bus this year, aimed at the FO, we should go green and style it up some. How about this: http://gawker.com/5967951/the-bmw-i3-concept-will-make-your-commute-green-and-stylish/gallery/1

WTF is wrong with people??
Posted by: Harwich Rich | 2012.12.14 at 01:33 PM
Rich, I assume you are talking about Newtown? Just know, the solution is really to make sure we are arming our teachers and elementary school students, NOT meaningful gun control. If little Suzie had just had her own gun, she could have stopped him....(sorry, do I have my FoxNews talking points right?)
Posted by: Natalie | 2012.12.14 at 01:38 PM
So Natalie, do you have a two year lease on that bus?
Posted by: jar in chicago | 2012.12.14 at 01:39 PM
Jar, the bus was pretty destroyed by the end of the season, so I think we need to re-lease. I am suggesting a green BMW concept car, but not sure if it can accommodate as many as we need. Would be nice to class it up this year, since our target for ramming speed are the execs in the FO...
Posted by: Natalie | 2012.12.14 at 01:40 PM
A classic VW Microbus would be fitting, but we would need a fleet of them...
Posted by: COD | 2012.12.14 at 02:08 PM
For the price of Dumpster & Defeatorino the Sox could have Josh Hamilton (& Franklin Morales)...
Posted by: Chip | 2012.12.14 at 02:12 PM
Natalie,
I'll start working on the ramp.
Posted by: jar in chicago | 2012.12.14 at 02:52 PM
It'll run on used cooking oil, right? I've got that crap oozing out of my pores.

Check with Willie Nelson, Natalie, he has connections. An' not just for bio fuel;-)!

Why waste ¥¥¥ on a bus? Let's just set our selfs on fiah

Just add a caravan, Natalie. And we could set the whole lot on 'fiah' to cover all bases.

'Cause we got a little ol' con boy
Dealin' through the night.
Yeah, we got a little ol' con boy,
Ain't Ben a beautiful sight?
Come on and cheer our con boy
Ain't nothin' gonna get in his way.
We gonna trust this fuckin' con boy
'Til he re-signs Dice-K.
Con boy!
Have a great weekend all. Hopefully we'll have something fun to yak about on Monday.

Remember when the Sox "failed" to sign A-rod? And a few years later we were like, WOW did we dodge that bullet?
I'm getting the same vibe from the Josh Hamilton non-signing. Is he 25-Million-per-year good? Would he be able to handle playing in Boston? What's a 30-homer player in Arlington going to look like in other parks?
We'll see how the new kids turn out. Right now I'm in optimism mode. Because, you know, mindless optimism worked out so well for me this year ...
