It's a trend
And it's "sub .500 Fridays" until next April…
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
So keep this on the down low for now...
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
But I'm thinking about changing temp agencies.
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
I mean, c'mon, "the spreadsheet heard 'round the world"? What's not to love?
In a group of Soxaholix, a woman speaks:
Besides, I know she's been a real regular around here, but, brass tacks, I've always thought Lisa the Temp was kind of a bitch.
Yes, but a hot bitch!

Say it ain't so! We NEED Lisa!!
Posted by: soxinsix | 2012.09.21 at 09:22 AM
so what happened this time? as the fireworks were going off as we walked out of nats park last night, a win helped by a meek a-gon groundout to first with two on and two out, the sox seemed more-or-less in control on the out-of-town scoreboard...

And then one winter day
His hand led hers away
She left you here drowning in your tears, here
Where you've stayed for years
Crying Lisa, Lisa

So, next April? Does that mean you're coming back?

@Paul in DC: we brought in our closer...

Haven't decided re "retirement."
Posted by: h.b. | 2012.09.21 at 11:12 AM
What can we do to sweeten the pot for non-retirement, hb? We have a fully stocked bus (well, it WAS fully stocked, but after careening drunkenly around a few corners, it's a little worse for the wear and the stash depleted), I'll find a new teal dress, I am sure lc can toss in a few sunsets for a song... Oh, and we will all remember Timmy, right, guys? What else?

So we put Pesky's coffin on end, or lay it flat? I vote for flat on the ground; he'll stop more grounders that way.
Posted by: Bob | 2012.09.21 at 01:36 PM
Well it will the first time most of the team will have seen the coffin.

Yazbread shoots.... Yazbread scores!!!

Ah, but if Lisa is the metaphor for this season's team, well she has to go. Sorry, Lisa, we can't hire you and the agency insists on passing along it's costs to us.
Been there, heard that.
hb: I retired last year. It was too soon people said, but there it was. I had no choice, since Obama put my employer out of business. Thank You, Barry. There's no jobs in Mudville worth the effort to get them. Thus, I am retired. The Sox are too depressing for you? I dig that.

Good one, yazbread. At least if Pesky is rolling over in his grave, that means his coffin can back up into shallow left-center for pop-ups.
Have a great weekend all. Hopefully we'll have something fun to yak about on Monday.

and Pesky never threw home anyway (look it up) so no dropoff there
