Life was better when the Rays sucked

Mike:
Oh the gyroball?
Totally nonexistent—
Bad back isn't.

Al:
While the outcome was less than desirable, it made sense to put Wake against King Felix and save Lestah for the series in Tampa.

Doug:
Yes because this coming weekend series with the Rays is, of course

"The Most Important Series of the Season™"

Doug:
Again.

Al:
34 games left. Sigh.

Doug:
Where's the friggin salty yum?

Comments

While the idiot ump was at fault and deserved everything he got, I think Tito just wanted to get out of the rain and wind last night. I wish I could just yell at somebody at work and get thrown out for the day. And then come back the next day as if nothing happened.

What was with Angel Hernandez not letting them argue? Imagine if Earl Weaver or Lou Pinella had come out to argue and wasn't allowed to? That was crap.

Where is the salt yum, indeed? Awoke this a.m. with a fair amount of certitude in my heart that there will be no playoffs for the Sox without a serious dose of Cialis.

Life was better when the Rays sucked.

Indeed, h.b., indeed.

Gaining 0.5 games is better than dropping a half game further away. Tampa Bay got murdered by LA because all they have is pitching and when that fails...it's lights out for the Rays.

The Sox can overtake both of the teams above us in the AL East solely from the games left against each of those teams. I have no reason to believe we won't be in the playoffs this year just yet.

ohh Kaz. How I wish I could have that hope in my heart. I looked at the sched and thought for one brief moment- ya know we could catch them .... but we wont.

sign of the end?

I saw VMart in line at Logan this morning to board a JetBlue flight to Orlando.

34 games indeed.

fitfully,

lc

Kaz - a lyric for you to hum all day.

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one

yaz,

I'm just a dreamer
who dreams of better days

Here's an earworm for you Kaz

You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So, I wouldn't come home low

Motley Crue, not Carrie Underwood, right?

Right?!

That was a HUGE loss in the night-cap....4.5 games back just seems so much closer than 5.5

Damn you Kaz, I had successfully blocked all memory of that version of the song from my memory.

Has to be a nominee for worst cover song ever.

No, the worst cover ever is Hillary Duff doing Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus."

The fact that HB knows that Hillary Duff covered Personal Jesus just added a bit more creepy to this site.

Now that you mention it, that does increase the creep factor.

You're both wrong.

The worst cover ever is Celine Dion and Anastacia covering AC/DC's "Shook me all night long"...

Yeesh. It was a train wreck. Watching Celine jump around like an epileptic gazelle will never leave your vision.

Celine is my 7th cousin. Don't we leave personal attacks off this site?

I'm sorry, yaz.

That you're related to Celine.

I'm just hoping I am in the will.

I'm sure they'll save a little Tourtiere for you,Yaz ;D

She would be hard pressed to beat la tourtière that my wife and I make for la fête de Noël.
