Highlight of the year so far. Just everything I love about Manny. A great catch, a high-five to a Red Sox fan, a double-'em-up throw.

I love that idiot.

I can't go for that-no can do :)

Manny = Zen

Even on such a craptacular loss with a craptacular bullpen, his awesomeness continues brought a little cheer into yesterday. Thanks for not making us as glum as the Yankees Manny.

The way they're playing,not the catch ;D

I'm so distracted and happy about that Manny play, I could care less about the losses right now.

Hell, Free iced coffee for everybody! Don't worry, it's on me!

What is the guy on the right carrying? Is that his lunch?

Holy Christ, that Manny play is funny. Only he could high five a fan in the middle of executing a double play. That seriously made my morning.

Everytime I see these two characters I think of the Dick in a Box SNL sketch. :) While humming "Rich Girl" of course.

Manny was priceless, and reminds me that it is NOT just about winning - its about the love of the game. Even a great team loses 60-70 games a year. It is good to have fun through the losses too. Manny sure does.

I uncovered why Manny did the high five - quite a scoop! lol

Mike Timlin used to be like Oki - just could not keep inherited runners from scoring. Oki has allowed 11 of 14 to score! Just mind boggling!

And what about the guy in the green shirt, white beard, and American flag skullie? Is Uncle Jerry alive and living in Baltimore?

could use the free iced coffee out here...should get over 105 today and of course some dimwhit flushed some hairspray top and somehow that has the AC off.

looking forward to Manny's arrival in about a week

Sonomoasox, your office AC is connected to the sewer system?

Uh, might want to talk to someone about that.

This link is not at all Sox related but here in NOLA we're focussed on the Hornets. So here is what one clever fan put together to distract Tony Parker. http://www.tmz.com/2008/05/14/desperate-times-call-for-desperate-measures/

Not to jinx either team but I hope to have a local beer six pack bet going with my stepdad if the Hornets and Celtics make it to the finals. Then again he has managed to find his own source of Abita Jockamo IPA in the wilds of Western MA.

And MLB changed something in their video so now I can't watch the highlights - any help?

yeah, something about water used as part of the cooling system so when the water is shut off so goes the AC. But don't fear it's 98 outside but 70 now inside.

And gay marriage is ok in California.

must be an off day.

Completely off topic and with HB's blessing, I am inviting all Patriots fans to join a Facebook group I created to get John Tomase fired from the Boston Herald.

It took me a long time to get into Facebook, since I figured it was like MySpace, but it is much cooler IMHO. Anyhoots, here's the page (or you can click on my name above).

Er, below.

When Willie Mays took http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dK6zPbkFnE&feature=related "> THE CATCH he had neither the wherewithal nor the loopiness to high five the crowd before doubling up the runner. What can you say?

And seventh inning grand slam?
No haiku for you!

dakine, did you see the front page of the Herald today (Friday)?

I had no idea Tomase was actually a BigBri lookalike who's obviously spent a whole lot of time in his mother's basement.
