Time, the continuous thread of revelation.
Doug:
So let me get this straight. The Girls Gone Wild guy is out on parole aftah a stint in prison on child porn chahges, among othahs, actually thinks it's a good idea to get back in the news with archival GGW footage of a 17 year old Ashley Dupre?
Al:
And they say jocks are dumb.
Mike:
Well, hold your absolution. Right now Jose Canseco has half-convinced himself that he supplied steroids to Eliot Spitzer in the 90s.
Doug:
Speaking of mentally challenged athletes, Johnny Damon sure has been quiet lately, eh?
Al:
Well, he did say the othah day that he thinks he's "a pretty tough person to replace."
Doug:
Ah, memo to Johnny: Time did a whole lot of so-called telling last Octobah methinks.
Mike:
Yep, the future at centerfield starts with a "J" and ends with a "Y" but therein the similarity ends.
Trying to get back in the swing of things.
As before, no guarantee as to consistency or topic timeliness with regard to new strips.
We'll just go day to day.
My wife continues to improve. The pacemaker is scheduled to be installed today and all post-surgery related tubes have been removed. All good news.

Good to hear. Glad to see a new strip.

I'm amazed at your ability to fuction at such a high level, H.B.
Ashley Dupre. Heh. She's probably going to make a small fortune off humping the gov and telling all. God bless prostitution.

best of luck to you both, h.b. thanks for all you do for the rest of us. methinks you have some good karma coming your way...

Glad to see the continued great news. Here's to spending Easter at home and dealing with the joys of everyday life. Still sending good thoughts and prayers

Great to see a new strip, HB. But jeezus, I've taken a day off for a stubbed toe and here you are creating new material - probably from a hospital room. Way to show up us gout stricken basement dwellers.
Keep the good news rolling & continued strength to you & mrs. hb!

I wonder if Matsui gave Dice-K a shopping list.

Great to hear your wife is doing better HB. Remember to get some rest yourself too.
Have a great weekend.

Great to see a new strip HB.
Thanks for all the updates during all of this.
I have to agree with the comment someone posted that it is funny how much you can worry about someone that you have never met and probably never meet.
I didn't post because I didn't have anything to say that wasn't already being said, but my thoughts and prays were with you always.

Great to have you back, and congratulations on the good progress so far. Hope the good news continues for you both.

//...it is funny how much you can worry about someone that you have never met and probably never meet.//
We HAVE met H.B. He's here all the time. Do you really care what he looks like, or what brand of whiskey he drinks?
(It better be Jameson.)
Posted by: Bob | 2008.03.20 at 03:59 PM
Definitely Jameson, Bob, at least back in my whiskey drinking days.
I don't touch too much of the harder stuff these days except for an occasional tequila (Patron) or vodka martini (dirty, Kettle One).
BTW the pacemaker insert was postponed a day due to the INR (blood coagulation) being too high (i.e, blood was too thin).
Posted by: h.b | 2008.03.20 at 04:03 PM
Ah, Guinness with a Jameson chaser. That's the way to do it.
And definitely don't rush the pacemaker thing, don't want to worry again about blood not clotting.

Um? Lost in translation - the Babel Fish strikes again.
Meant to say - See you all on the other side, Go Red Sox.

Enjoy the game, sdu.

pawsoxpop and rooster, you guys are right on.
Continued prayers to Mrs. & Mr. J.B.
FYI, Red Sox Nation is alive and well here in Upstate NY. We have quite the contingent in the Ft. Drum area, Defending both Our Nation and Red Sox Nation. We are all fans of the Soxaholic. Rally Caps remain on!

h.b., INR, anticoagulation, always very hard to get right in the uninitiated/naive. Once you are on coumadin/low-molecular weight heparin you have to get into a routine with foods with vitamin K and alcohol...have the wife aim high.
