High and dry
Al:
C'mon, Bill Smith, you big friggin' prick tease. Enough with the foreplay already.
Doug:
Seriously. Where's my friggin' "happy ending."
Mike:
I can't get no
Santanasfaction.

This wait is like an overly tight cock ring. At first the lack of satisfaction is just frustrating, then it starts to really hurt.
(Just an aside: anybody got a fence cutter handy?)

I don't think we're talkin' Friendly's desserts here(wink wink)

It is a source of pleasure that the Yanks took themselves out of the Santana talks. Shot themselves in the foot with that smart Bronx negotiating.
You came out of the box hard this morning, Bob! (Unintended puns, but I like.)

not for nothin, but I suggest Bob stay in the box.
I am available for voice work, Bob.
I am, after all, a professional.
all the best,

Don't give up the entire farm. Tell the Twins to screw if they don't like the offer. It's plenty fair right now. Start saving pennies for the free agent contract. I'll put the 1st handful of change in the drawer.

HB - Not to infringe on your creative work but I think Circle & Tara need to make a few trips to the bubbler. All this Santana talk can bring on the priapism but it's C & T that really bring the happy ending.

Forget about Hugo Chavez Santana -- he'll be a Twin in '08, then a free agent then an MFY. He's dead to me pre-emptively... Let's focus on moving Coco somewhere he will be happy. Like Chicago. the other Venezuelan nutjob over there would like to move Contreras who has set-up man written all over him -- Okajima, Contreras, Paps. Adios Gagne...

In former Sox news, the Nationals are bringing Wily Mo back next year for $2 million.
Posted by: COD | 2007.12.06 at 02:07 PM
crap, we are reduced to WiMP news.

Was that you peering under the bathroom stall just now, HR???
Posted by: Jeffrey | 2007.12.06 at 02:58 PM
Jeffrey- did he brush your foot and run his fingers under the stall sides? ;)

Natalie with the timely reference to recent news of the truly bizarre. Aren't you moving to Europe soon? Won't you miss hearing about the ongoing saga of Larry "Taps" Craig?
What would hb's inside source be saying today? Hey, I'm sure we'll eventually be glad the FO waited this Santana thing out, but cripes my already weak productivity has been virtually nonexistent.

London bound in April of '08. Planning in full swing as of today. Cannot wait. But I will miss all the vagaries of American politics. And let's not talk about how late my evenings will be sitting in front of MLB.tv to catch the Sox. Literally the only downside...
I am with you re: the waiting game. I hit Boston.com and ESPN.com about 2x an hour at least. I still think the deal will happen. No one else in the running has a better offer, and I don't think they really want to wait til July 31.
Posted by: Natalie | 2007.12.06 at 08:05 PM
Happy trails, then. States will miss you I'm sure.
Worse for me than espn.com and boston.com is that I started going to mlbtraderumors.com recently. They seem to have a new batch of nothing every 5 minutes or so: "New rumor, not corroborated --- the Yankees are considering trading Hideki Matusi for a wheel of gouda. Details to follow."
Posted by: IkeG | 2007.12.06 at 08:30 PM
This just in (10:48 PM): The Yankees GOT the wheel of Gouda. 7 years $140M.
Posted by: Bob | 2007.12.06 at 10:46 PM
Shoot. I thought Theo & Co would be able to price them out of that deal or at least get it down to a hunk of brie.
