All's mediocre that ends mediocre

Mike:
Well, you didn't think that streak would go on forevah did you?

Doug:
Hell, I didn't think that streak would go on to 3.

Mike:
Reality: they score runs at an average rate and they give up runs at an average rate.

Mike:

Doug:
.474. Quod erat demonstrandum.

call me crazy ("you're crazy") but I think that this stretch of games on the road will tell us a lot about this team. Get Grady thru Cleveland, then release him and let the young folks play.

Why does HB have to be so damn rational, and LC so damn crazynal?

.474 - Holt's mid-season average?

The likelihood that in a 17 game stretch, the Red Sox (assuming they are playing close to 0.500 ball) would play 10 losses and then 7 wins is about 1 in 131,000.

However, they play 162 games, meaning the chance that that particular run of 17 game results would occur at any time in the season is really only about 1 in 1000.

1 in 1000 - Drew's projected at bat results?

Well, I have a fairly minor medical procedure tomorrow (which I have named and trademarked as "Jam-A-Cam"). So I may or may not be around these creepy parts for a few days. I know, I know, that's just devastating to so many of you.

In any case, have a great rest of the week and weekend all. Hopefully we'll have something fun to yak about on Monday.

Let us know if they find Amelia Earhart,Bob. ;O

More likely they'll find Urethra Franklin.
