Dog days

Mike:
Funny how you nevah hear about Putin taking a vacation.

Susan/Circle:
Putin does not "get tired." Putin does not sleep. He waits.

Mike:
Speaking of vigor, who knew the Royals have won 14 of their last 16 games and are in the race for the Wild Cahd?

Susan/Circle:
Mike, you need to realize there's a whole world out there on the othah side of the Berkshires.

Mike:
Really?

Susan/Circle:
No, I'm just fucking with you. There's nothing out there.

Rootin' Tootin' Putin AND the Berkshires in one strip?? My weekend is off to a flying start. ;D

...and Mike, don't forget about Maine,"The deep South in the far North"

You just made my day.

I'd love to see the Royals make the playoffs after so many years of futility. Not at the Sox expense, of course, but it still would be cool.

Yeah, the world changes after one passes I-495 in any direction. Outside of it, drivers are just, well dare I say it, not like drivers inside I-495. Just saying.
Too many MFY fans west of there for my taste, too.

I think the sox need to have a team meal at Oklahoma Joe's while they are waiting for their bats to arrive from Houston.

I could have done without the putin/centaur image.

" Fine figure of a man,Yes??...that is all you need to know."

The Pirates are also back in the playoff hunt for the first time since Stargell played first base? I think I have my convinced to do a long weekend in Pittsburg next month when the Pirates are at home. I've always wanted to attend a game there.

I'm in Pittsburgh all next week for a convention. Have a chance, I think, to see one of the Pirates-Diamondbacks games on the weekend. I'm staying just across the river from the ballpark! I want to visit the spot that Bill Mazeroski defeated the MFY's in the 1960 World Series!

I nearly spit out my coffee. I agree, however. Lee Outlets, Red Loin, Tanglewood, then nothing.

PNC Park could be the best in the Majors. Check it out if you can.

"There is no culture west of Framingham" - Thoreau (I think).

The site of Forbes Field is on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Some of the old ballpark's walls, including the section Maz homered over are there. There's more of that old ball yard than Three Rivers Stadium, which is a parking lot/development opportunity for now. Parking can be a big headache, but we are familiar with that.

Looks like we're going to need a Soxaholix centaur-fold calendar. Putin would be Mr. February (bare-chested in the Russian winter) and Bob would be Mr. October. Not sure about the other months.

PSP, we have to work the rhubarb lady in there somehow.

"Centaur-fold." That's really good.

I made sure my wife, who hails from Missouri, saw this strip and thus ensured I will get punched in the arm when I get home. Totally worth it.

Well, the rhubarb lady was certainly on a high horse.

I'm in if I can get horny with a unicorn ;O

PNC is a really fine ballpark.

Well, at 7:30 the Pats take centaur stage. At least until we see if Brady plays a down or not. Then it's Peavy time at 8:10. Against Ervin Santana and his sub-3 ERA.

Have a great weekend all. Hopefully we'll have something fun to yak about on Monday.

Like whether the Royals put additional protection on their road team dugout phones?
