Doug:
And, and, wait for it... John Lackey's outing described by Farrel as "crisp" and and "powerful."

Mike:
Not a bad way to staht a off a Monday, right?

Doug:
These are the moments to savor.

Well, except for about 15 minutes at the end of the 1st and the beginning of the 2nd the Bruins completely owned that game. My wife is a Bruins fan and ragging on me, which is not as bad as it sounds. At least the Sox keep winning.

Now it's on to Chicago and let's win there.

Nice weekend indeed! B's looked awesome and Papi keeps a-rolling along!

Ah, what's better than a day in May, when your teams are wining. The Twins dogged determination (and blind adherence to MLB policy) to get the game in reflected an issue not to be ignored. The Sox bullpen is shaky at best.
I think Paul McCartney studied E.E. Cummings. Just a hunch.

Amaying base-
ball streaks abound.
Who saves for this wretch
of a team?
At home they lost
but now have re-found
a bum named John Lackey.

A lackey by any other name...will still have an ERA north of 5.00 by season's end.

Yeah I know it doesn't rhyme.

I think Lackey's the man from Nantucket ;O

Oh,and Cmdr-Idon't know about e.e. but Maca definately was acquainted with Thomas Dekker.

Whoa! E.E.Cummings with CAPITALS?
I thought the Rangers took care of them.

In every MLB game there is a winner and a loser, no matter how feeble and uninteresting the two teams are.

I was lazy, old and well, It was a miracle I remembered* e e cummings- period.
And yes Makker did draw heavily on Dekker, wonder if like Harry he had to do a re- write and pay off a few peeps.

@hb - wicked poetry link
@ bob - every time you say that, something bad happens
@lc - I am shocked that you forgot the 1920 tie between the Robins and the (Boston) Braves given that, as I understand it, you were there!
