Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, short guy speaks:
Mr. Hall?
Two guys walking, tall guy speaks:
Yes, Mr. Oates?
Two guys walking, short guy speaks:
Well... I dunno... it's just...
Two guys walking, tall guy speaks:
C'mon, Mr. Oates, out with it.
Two guys walking, short guy speaks:
OK. So... Do you still love the Boston Red Sox?
Two guys walking, tall guy speaks:
Oh, Mr. Oates, where is this coming from?
Two guys walking, short guy speaks:
It's just, you know, it's Spring Training but there's no welcome look in your eyes.
And now you're starting to criticize all the little things they do.
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
It's just that, you know, I don't want it to slip away.
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, tall guy speaks:
Mr. Oates I think you're doing what they call "projecting."
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
Two guys walking, no words exchanged:
I'm going to be watching you, Mr. Oates, yes, watching you.

Sorry, evah.

I can't go for Bobby Valentine, no no, no can do, I can't go for that...

/screechy voice/ You've lost that lovin' feelin'.... o o o that lovin' feelin'....
It's true. I caught him in bed with a fried chicken, and it's gonna take some time to rebuild the trust.

Sorry to be critical but this strip does not even begin to capture my level of apathy.

My feelings re: the Sox right now can be summed up by Walker Percy (from the Moviegoer): "Whenever one courts great happiness, one also risks malaise.”

Oh I don't know, I'm still looking forward to the season. Probably because Youkilis, Youkilis, is on my list.

Ooh, ooh, here they come;
They're the team haters.
I haven't lost the loving feeling yet, but like the lyrical Sarah, I'm not smiling either.
Let's see, can I work in Private Eyes? Rich Girl? Make my dreams come true? Ah, screw it, I need to get some work done.
Do love to see those occasional appearances by H&O, tho'. Thanks h.b.

sorry, I'm drinking the Kool-ade. The MFY fans are so cocky and proud about their rotations (and turning a blind eye toward all the problems therein) and can't help but wrap myself in Sox optimism. Life is tough in the Dirty Jerz.

I caught a bit of a game against the Twins and saw Papi at the plate. Dude has slimmed down. If he stays healthy, he looks like he's going to have a monster year. The team...meh.

I know, I know ... Hope springs eternal. But this is a very good ballclub.

If I could love the Haywood Sullivan teams, I can love this team...

In Ft. Myers this week. I will not be attending a game however. The new park is sold out for Friday's game. Someone must be excited for the season...

Yeah, what Steve said. I can't go for that.
I still have my Bob Montgomery and Rick Burleson cards. It's always been love and hate with some apathy thrown in. But I'll still be pissed when "they" lose and happy when "we" win.

As Toby Ziegler (West Wing) said of nuking some small Muslim replublic:
They'll like us when we win.

How in the hell does someone get banned from the Mexican League for substance abuse? Horse tranquilizers mixed with peyote?
