It's a tighty

Bill:
So Dave "A Beautiful Mind" Pinto has posted his AL East preview, and, wow, does it predict to be a tight race.

Bill:
For probability of winning the division his algorithm forecasts:

1. Yankees, 32%
2. Red Sox, 30%
3. Rays, 28%

Doug:
Tight? Holy shit that is tightah than a nun's ass on a Holy Day of Obligation!

Bill:
Seriously. But I'd still want to go into a Septembah pennant race with our lineup ovah that of the Yankees or Rays.

Doug:
Oh absolutely. We've got the best pitching and pitching wins Championships.

Bill:
I know we are loaded. Going into Opening Day the Red Sox may have the best pitching staff in the majors.

Bill:
About that … If Buchholz has confidence issues, isn't sending him down aftah proving himself this spring kind of a kick in the old confidence balls?

Doug:
Maybe. Or is it just what he needs?

Bill:
It's times like these when I'm glad I'm just a simple fan who doesn't have to make those decisions.

Doug:
I'm a simple unfrozen caveman fan. Your complex psychological decisions frighten and confuse me.

i pick the sox over the yankees, even though (or perhaps because) they have our former unfrozen caveman center fielder...

Whatever happened to Phil Hartman's Frozen-Wife-Murderer?

I hear that lots of Hollywood big-wigs still blame Andy Dick for RE-introducing her to drugs, which led to the shooting.

Perhaps that's why he's been reduced to being fired on Celebrity Apprentice.

Oh, and yeah. Our pitching staff is loaded for bear.

Has anyone seen my happy fun ball? I hear it's still legal in 16 states :)

YouTube. April Fool's Day. Everything is upside down on the site.

I think that worm has everyone laying low today.I say put him in the bottom of a bottle of Mezcal. heh

Does anyone have a link to what just happened to Youk and Pedroia on their drive into the ballpark down in Florida today? I just heard that they were racing each other and there might have been a huge accident.

Kaz - you need better bait than that to get us to bite.

you got at least one sucker on that kaz...

Cruel, Kaz. Cruel.

glad I read the comments all the way through - nice one Kaz

So - any reason aside from that brief pushing match a few yrs back that Theo wouldn't want to bring Sheff on board for $400k. Fits the profile and I feel he'd do better than Rocco (no disrespect) and the other 4th OFs.

and if Petey is truly done - he deserves a day at Fenway way before Schill. When 25 guys took 25 cabs, he was the reason to go watch a game.

Pinto is a Yankee homer. Just look at his 2008 Predictions:

1st Place -- New York
2nd Place -- Boston
3rd Place -- Toronto
4th Place -- Tampa Bay
5th Place -- Orioles

But hey, at least he got Boston and Baltimore right!

Kaz, nice April Fool's gag, but that's a reverse double gooch.

I still like this one from last year that I somehow missed. You'd think the fact that it ws Terry Jones as the 'correspondent' would've tipped folks off
