A woman has an (implied) right to privacy in her body, therefore the States may make no law forbidding her from killing her unborn child.

However, the States may also make no laws allowing this same woman to smoke weed to relieve the terrible nausea brought on by cancer chemotherapy because of the implication that the weed might somehow affect or be affected by interstate commerce.

Does this make any sense at all? This is where you end up when you start making rules based on what's implied versus what's NECESSARILLY implied. How about we have a national debate over what an actual constitutionally protected right to privacy should be, then put it into the Constitution?

And let's interpert the thing in whole sentences while we are at it.

I disagree in re: not knowing. Even if she didn't know a case name she might have come up with the Supreme Court case which knocked down punitive damages for the Exxon Valdez running aground. After all, it was just a few months ago, while she was Governor and she appeared on TV that day railing against it.

That aside, do you think it's too much to expect that she can name a newspaper that she reads regularly?
